To second what the previous anon suggested, Krita is a really good tool, it is definitely something you need to master and build your own little routine with. But once you get the hang of it, it can do a lot. It works great on tablets too if that is your sort of thing. I have used Krita on and off for about 6 or 7, maybe even 8 years now, so if you have any questions about it don't hesitate to reach out 💕

im excited to try a new program tbh, I used a ripoff of photoshop when I first started and Paint Tool SAI was a revelation bc it was easier and felt much smoother to draw in, but I feel like it's been holding me back on a technical level
