ugh of course. That just reinforces why I hate modern television A woman is useless in a fight sure.

Supernatural's pretty bad about it -- most of the protagonistic women are either dead or in need of saving nine times out of ten -- but when it comes to antagonists, they're not too bad. Bela, Ruby, Lilith, I guess you could count Eve, Naomi, Abaddon... those characters are the shit.

If you want some faith restored in the handling of women in modern(ish) television, check out Firefly, Burn Notice, Suits, and Farscape.

Would you prefer to write a novel in all text or do a graphic novel?

ack, forgot to answer this- for me personally i would prefer to make a graphic novel just because my actual word-building and sentence-making skills are... sub-par. i'm shit at trying to describe scenes in words and would rather just DRAW them lol. i mean like coming up with stories is hard enough but just doing that final step of putting them into prose format is just... it doesn't work for me lol

Ah…what period of History?

Greece (particularly Hellenic Greece) and Rome, though I haven't yet narrowed it down further than that yet as I'm sure I will eventually. I might try to focus on architecture depending on how much of the fiddly parts of engineering that would require.

It's very nice -- there's nothing I hate more than watching a Stephen Merchant interview and have them asking about Ricky. You can kind of see his face just freeze -- the same expression he gets when the interviewer brings up his height.

If you listen to the old XFM broadcasts or the behind-the-scenes videos of any of their series, it's plain that Merchant is the driving force behind their partnership -- he's the one keeping Ricky on track and doing work while Ricky's goofing off.

Stephen Merchant was a blessing for Ricky Gervais, and it's about time Stephen got some recognition for his talents without Ricky tainting his success.
