So, 5x05 made it canon that Echo feels indebted to Clarke.
Echo knows Clarke saved her life.
Echo is NOT trying to hide this fact. She acknowledges it. She thinks Clarke deserves GRATITUDE.
And she loves Bellamy. It’s a fact.
So, do you guys really think she will get in the way of Bellarke? I mean, she will, but not intentionally. As soon as she realizes Clarke has feelings for Bellamy, she will feel GUILTY.
It already happened even before the season started. The lingering presence of Clarke in EVERY FREAKING THING that Bellamy Blake did for six years. The effect her name has on him. Her memory. His refusal to forget her and his insistence on spacekru always remembering her sacrifice.
So the last thing would be step three.
Echo realizing Bellamy has romantic, desperate feelings for Clarke. The real, living Clarke. Mutual feelings. Shared history. The heart and the head.
The last thing Echo wants is to hurt Bellamy. And so she will step aside, be honest with him and Clarke and force THEM to be honest with each other.
Because she knows they would be living a lie. And she would be part of that lie, and frankly, she will think she deserves better. They all do.
She respects and feels indebted to Clarke.
So she will take the lead and make a grand gesture. Give up on the man she loves because IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
And THAT will be a huge character development for ECHO.
So, in the end, Becho ending and Bellarke becoming canon is good for CLARKE, BELLAMY AND ECHO.
