Roll on the Shadouge!

Drinks all of the coffee

Neither are great in the mornings. Especially Rouge. She needs buckets of coffee before she’s ready to go outside and not kill people. Though, given her job, Shadow often wonders about buying decaf for a while and seeing the effect. Better not to risk it though, since he spends most of the day with her. Though, I think GUN would probably split them once they found out they were dating, so they’d be on different teams and missions. That would cause a fuss and a half! Maybe that’s the truth of why they weren’t together in rivals 2 omg but they wouldn’t be able to separate them for missions, just have them in different divisions for day to day work I guess. Massively sidetracked. Shadow also drinks a lot of coffee, so in the morning they’re both silent and angry looking ‘til about noon.

Brings up adopting a pet

Neither. Rouge says as her sound bite for SA2 Chao garden ‘So cute’ or something, so she might not hate one, but I think they’re too busy and practical for that ish. they probably live in a super modern flat that’s all minimalist and tasteful, so a loada pet stuff would ruin Rouge’s perfect aesthetic! Nah, no pets, but Rouge’ll refer to Shadow as her dog if you ask her let’s not talk about leashes

Kills the bugs

Both. They piss Rouge off, and Shadow more kills them ‘cause they’re there, and they shouldn’t be. Though, they’d have to be used to bugs: didn’t they go through jungles and jungles? what’s an itsy spider to those big-ass creepy frog things? I bet they’d know everything they needed to about eachother from those missions: the games leave out all the time Shadow must have spent with Rouge whining about her sore back and feet and grumbling because she got her period in the middle of a jungle, and Rouge has probably stamped on all of Shadow’s nerves and triggers by now. Aww, dorks.

Cooks the meals

I don’t think Rouge takes to the kitchen much. She can do simple things, but since Shadow is a good cook, and she’s a lazy yet foody person, she’ll whine at him to cook. If she cooks it’ll be spaghetti carbonara or something similar. I have a headcanon she loves pasta. Also, Rouge worries about her appearance and weight a lot, so she can be picky with sat fats and she’s always on some diet or another. Shadow wastes no time in telling her she’s ridiculous, but complies with the healthy eating, so long as she eats enough of it and is healthy, he doesn’t mind.

Starts getting into holidays way before they should

Neither. They’re both reluctant festivity partakers. Rouge likes new years, though, and will usually invite everyone to their club top floor for a celebration. Shadow doesn’t drink, and when he does, he’s an emotional drunk, so he tends to be the responsible one. Which is good, because Rouge is one million percent not responsible when there’s alcohol and people and dancing.

Initiates the couple selfies

Rouge. Shadow’s not vain, but Rouge is quite. She’s upfront about it though: no ‘ahh this pictures so gross and I look disgusting don’t look at it *posts it on every social media as profile pic*’, more of a ‘Oi emo I look hot today come pose with me I wanna make people jealous’

Forgets the birthdays and anniversaries

Neither. They don’t really do anything for them. They buy eachother gifts, but then just stay in and watch films or read or do other things. Their celebration is a night off work.

Always ends up with too much junk food after grocery shopping

Shadow. He eats junk food without a care since his metabolism is super efficient and he does so much sport anyway. Rouge prefers healthy options. Well, no she doesn’t, she’d rather have junk food, but she doesn’t let herself. Except the occasional snack when she’s having a really tough day.

Nicknames the other

Rouge calls Shadow ‘Cookie’ - that’s another story - or Cutie, Hon, Emo, ShitforBrains, whatever she feels like really. Shadow just refers to her as a bitch, but it tends to lose edge as an insult when said between kisses.
