Like a Marilyn Monroe where she "turns it on" (it being the list object persona) for the job, or just always being a "normal"?

The latter, since the former is actually my interpretation of her in canon. A big part of my read of her is that she harbours only-semi-secret contempt for the nature of what she’s doing and the people for whom and with whom she does it.

I've been worrying about this sorta thing bc I was in a similar situation (my mum brought me back a kimono from japan). I've been told it's mostly fine so long as it's not meant to be mocking/parodying (e.g. chopsticks in the hair jokes)

Ok, that's how I thought it might be. As long as we know when it's okay to wear the garments themselves and we don't do it in a disrespectful fashion, I've read it's alright
