I am tired of people calling "The Shining" a good movie

And I mean in general. It's the absolute WORST adaptation of any of Stephen King's novels, period. It's not scary, the writing is terrible, Jack Nicholson is at his worst and POOR SHELLY DUVALL. Kubrick purposefully ignored King's advice and turned an amazing story into a complete shitshow, then made it nearly impossible for King to get the rights to his own fucking story back so he could have a proper adaptation made. Fuck this movie.
