Speedy Canary AU: Touring Musicians 

Laurel has heard the warnings a million times – from her manager, from her bandmates, from her crew. Don’t fall in love on tour. But when up-and-coming punk group Young Vigilantes signs on to open for The Canaries on the western leg of the band’s summer tour, Laurel can’t help but fall hard and fast for lead singer, Thea Queen. For three weeks, the girls share their art and their space and their beds. All to soon, The Canaries are set head East while Thea stays in LA to record Young Vigilantes’ first studio album. By the time Laurel returns, Thea is in tour on Europe, and when Thea is finally back, Laurel is in the desert working on her own new songs. Through it all, they keep in touch with Snapchat and Skype calls and stolen weekend encounters, until finally – finally – they can hit the road together once more.
