I'm sorry to bother you with this, but do you know what happened with theapolis?

It’s not a bother Anon, though I wish I had an answer for you :(  I haven’t heard from Thea for months now, and I didn’t know she’d removed her fics from Ao3 until she orphaned the fic that I had jointly authored with her. Hopefully, she’s well and just taking a break from fandom…I’m sure we can all appreciate that particular sentiment.

last movie I watched: made a promise to myself to start watching at least one film a week this year. the last one i watched was a french drama called respire. still don’t know what i think about it, to be honest. 

last song I listened to: los campesinos! are releasing a new album february 24th, and the second single 5 flucloxacillin dropped yesterday. i love it already and have listened to it since then, seeing that i am and always be a repeat-1-girl

last book I read: was really, awfully, horrendously bad reading wise last year, but last week i felt a yearning for poetry and words. ordered rupi kaur’s milk and honey and read it all in one night. it was a good choice; it made me feel a bit closer to the person i want to be and more in touch with my artsy side, which i’ve really missed lately.

last thing I ate: lunch, which was lentil stew on bell pepper and potato  with sour cream and mango chutney. dangerously delicious.

if I could be anywhere right now: probably back in my hometown. 

where would I want to time travel to: 1980′s in Sweden.

fictional character to hang out with for a day: i know this is probably a question to see what my favourite character is, but truth be told, all my faves are annoying assholes that i’d probably despise hanging out with?

Secret Mutant Madness!

I am absolutely delighted to get FOUR amazing fills for my prompts this year!

I got not one but TWO incredible fics ‘please leave your message after the tone by ikeracity’ and ‘Forever is Only a Drunk Dial Away by bettysofia’ for the same prompt, which was basically one of them (in both cases - Charles) getting disgustingly drunk and maudlin over seeing pics of their hook-up seemingly moving on with someone new!  Both of these are absolutely DELIGHTFUL and I can’t recommend them enough!!!

And @rozf totally spoiled me this year with TWO fics -  'cause your crystal ball ain't so crystal clear by afrocurl and Bittersweet Symphony by afrocurl! The first one is Erik reuniting with his childhood crush (SO SWEET) and the second is highschool au with Emma + Charles attempting to woo a very reluctant Erik :D :D :D Thank you darling these were both wonderful fills yay!!!

And while I had intended to do more I was only able to finish one this year for @thea-polis - Teacher’s Note by Gerec which is just Xavierine cuteness where Laura attempts to set up her Dad with her sexy, lilac sweater wearing teacher lol.

So basically Erik is the only one with no clue how to actually interact with Charles and show his feelings XD Meanwhile Charles bonds with everyone! And Logan is perfect.

Is that really so surprising though lol? Erik is the only one at this point who feels the need to keep Charles at arms length (just in case he’s a spy you know) while the others have all decided to welcome him into the tribe. The next part should be the last and will have some more gift giving from the Council to their new Chieftain’s Consort :D

I’m glad you’re still enjoying it darling! Logan is trying (as are Ororo and Azazel) to get to know Charles as a person, even with the language barrier. And yes there will be SMUT of the Cherik kind before Chapter’s end!!!

I am VERY glad that it reminded you of me darling Thea lol!!! I love that movie a lot, though I do think it falls down a bit in the back half, and also took the easy way out with the baby Daddy haha. But yes, otherwise A+++ :D :D :D

Ger!!, can you give me your thoughts on early Xavierine dating? Specifically, Charles feeling out the best way to romance his new, rough-around-the-edges lover?!

Thea darling @thea-polis!!! I’m sorry it took me a while to respond but I had to really give it some serious thinky thoughts…

Okay, FIRST of all, in the very early days of their acquaintance there is only sex - lots of wall banging, bed breaking, ‘can’t stop having the sex’ sex. It’s all about getting into each other’s pants and there’s very little talk of feelings (or really NO talk about feelings at all lol). So nobody is thinking about romance at this point yeah?

BUT THEN 

There are SOFT LOOKS and MEANINGFUL GLANCES and Charles decides one day (after a round of particularly vigorous banging) that - why yes, he really WOULD like to properly woo that piping hot slab of Canadian man beef and keep him around!!!

So then Charles starts with the gifts (one of his father’s vintage cars that he lets Logan ‘borrow’ indefinitely, and a wrist watch that is more expensive than everything Logan has ever owned in his entire life lol) and the fancy dates (gourmet meals at the poshest restaurants in town, and night at the symphony) - all of which Logan doesn’t HATE exactly (because the food is good, and he likes music of all kinds..what he’s not a fucking animal he has TASTES AND PREFERENCES too) but he has no idea WHAT. THE. FUCK. CHARLES. IS. DOING??? Like, he doesn’t need or want any of these ‘things’ that Charles keeps throwing his way? And does he think Logan’s only hanging around cause he’s rich (and hot, don’t forget super hot)?

Cue Logan returning the watch (but he keeps the car cause he likes it what it’s a nice car!) and just sitting down and telling Charles he doesn’t want all these ‘things’ and he’s just…kinda happy to be here, being with Charles and hanging around the School and helping out with the kids, and he’s not planning on going anywhere unless Charles wants him to leave. And OF COURSE Charles doesn’t want him to go (NOT EVER that’s the point, to show that he has all the feels) and Logan says well alright that’s settled then and frankly I’m a little surprised you haven’t noticed I’ve been wooing you too? Do you think I just learn to make tea exactly the way you like it and bring it to you whenever you have a craving? And bring you meals when you forget to eat and sweaters and blankets when it gets cold and carry you to bed when you fall asleep grading papers at your desk? Or do maintenance around the grounds to keep things working in tip top shape and just…being there? For whatever you need???

Okay I’m definitely NOT going to write this but someone started a WTTP fic (unfortunately it’s unfinished) with the premise that the two hooked up and fell in love when Max was just a young cop fresh out of the academy and Sternwood hadn’t become the big time baddie yet. And I just really love that idea? That BAM - they had chemistry, and maybe would have made a go of it but then Sternwood finds out Max is a cop and disappears from his life? Or maybe Max is the one that finds out and tries to bring him in and Sternwood is pissed off and feels betrayed which is why years later - the shot in the knee? I don’t know how it goes I just know I want to read it LOL. Make it happen universe!
