This is one I took a chance on to watch Christmas Day. We are getting an interesting take on the cursed object with an old German advent calendar. The Advent Calendar (2021)

Eva is gifted an antique advent calendar, Sophie. Each window of the calendar contains a "gift" that triggers real-life events: some good, but mostly pretty bad.

Eva is AWESOME! She's super likeable and sympathetic, even when she's making...bad choices. I still understood why she was doing it and never thought of her as a shitty person. Really enjoyed this movie!
