“How many fingers am I holding up?” ~ Rei
At first Kai could only blink when he heard Rei’s question; everything around him was a blur while spinning at the same time.
Slowly trying to get his his vision back to normal he quenched his eyes, so that he could only focus on the Chinese blader’s fingers.
His lips parted and focused before telling Rei how many of his fingers he saw up at the moment.
“Three…” he answered quickly.
But wasn’t long bringing his own hand up to cover his eyes due to the brightening lights of the beystadium, as well so he couldn’t see the stadium continue to spin around him.
The Chinese frowned at his teammate’s answer, looking down at the two fingers he was holding up. That wasn’t a good sign...
“Ah... more or less,” He mumbled, looking back at the rest of the team now gathered around them.
He was kneeling down, holding Kai up from the ground. He got a pretty bad blow to the head during that last match... that of course, was lost. It was unbelievable how much power his opponent had been able to give out with his attack.
Now it was Takao’s turn... and considering Kai’s struggle, the Chinese had to admit he was pretty worried about the outcome of the next fight.
Noticing how the half-Russian was struggling with the bright lights of the stadium, Rei slightly moved over, to shield him from the merciless spotlights.
“Kai... can you stand? Here, let me help you,” He added, offering his arm for the other to lean on, “We’re going to the infirmary, we need to get you checked.”
