When I think of you I think of ink-pots and Frail feathers writing warrior tales. When I think of you, There is a certain redness In the dreary air,smell of lead everywhere. And I am still trying to find my way Out of the maze of your stories. Writing to a Quill

Dear Quill, I pray you don't spill And that you are chill I've taken some pills To save on the hills That I bought for thrills After I wrote my will In which I give Bill All I have to kill.  I say this with no frills Since I'll be here until I die of the screaming shrills

Perception

She writes as if the world is hers finding inspiration in every breath Her own, along with others’ She dances with her fingers with words, her imaginary props and a style that flaunts itself She makes her presence effortlessly with her beautiful tanned skin and her everlasting smile He reads as if she writes for him finding love in her every word every sentence and poetic device His imaginary link ups of her love for him and her metaphors His forefinger rests on every letter He feels her effortless absence Her untouched tanned skin and his never lasting smile

A Story of Covers

I have had this quilt For near to ten years now It was nothing special Lavender and blues Flowers and gentle hues But it was mine I hold sentiment in things Not in everything In significance of love letters Scents and small trinkets And for no reason this quilt Maybe just because it was mine When I got married I lay it across my new(ly wed) bed Until he covered it with dark His ugly bachelor throw  And it hurt my feelings As he tossed aside and hid mine This quilt is a part of me And as his new found love His puppy tore holes with sharp teeth When he called it faded I heard those words spoken deeper Because this quilt is me

She was real to me

She was not a poem A song or a story that I was trying to write She was real Made of flesh and bone that only I could See, touch and feel Her voice sounded like my heart beat  Reminding me to keep breathing, living

She had arms of water, moulding me into her  and eyes of fire  burning me every time she  chose not to look at me I feel her warmth and cool in the left side of my bare chest  So I took a pen  and wrote her down  and here she is,  a song for some, a poem for others

Did you know, the activity of “cloud watching” was termed as “clouding” by romantic artists. (I think they were romantic artists. I’m not sure.) :$
