Just in time for the beautiful sunny NYC weather: We recently had the pleasure of creating a custom shadow box frame for this impressive mix media painting with collage measuring nearly 3 x 4 feet by @andrew.salgado.art for an esteemed client. The artwork is floated on a pure white rag platform and spaced away from the underside of the Optium acrylic using matching pure white rag spacers. The frame is solid maple, spline joined, and finished in a custom harvest orange satin finish lacquer. Same great client, different custom framing approach: for this Walt Disney’s Haunted Mansion Disneyland Entrance Poster Signed by Marc Davis circa 1969 hand-pulled silk screened vintage poster measuring 36" x 54" we opted to select a custom frame that is reminiscent of the furnishings of the amusement ride. This frame is based on the Hudson River School line of frames, bold in scale, with highly detailed architectural elements finished in a warm black over red with rotten stone throughout.
