Three years ago yesterday my fathers mother past away, after that day I saw his soul leave him, I've seen the depth of his love for her, I've heard his cry and seen his tears, for her his love is never endless. I have never felt the need to be the stronger one from the two of us. I saw my dad break for the first love of his life, his mother. That same weekend I saw @lights In #pdx for he first time. And though I knew he was with her at that moment in time, I was an entire country away, Throughout this entire event I grieved and it was the only time I felt I could. I've never revisited those feelings. But I carry a reminder everyday. The strength to carry on.
