My parents were selective in the movies they let me see. My cousin @mattmcgiff would tell me about the “Friday the 13th” movies and, when I’d ask my parents if I could watch them, my father stated they were trash but allowed me to watch the “Halloween” series. I remember my mother bringing home a GoodTimes Video edition of “Halloween II”. When “The Curse of Michael Myers” was in theaters I had just turned 12. My parents flat out refused to let me see it even though I had been seeing R rated movies for years. Because Matt was my go-to source for horror, he gave me the lowdown. I’d just have to see it some other time. I remember renting the VHS at Blockbuster but I never owned it until college. I ended up getting it for Christmas and watched it on DVD in my mother’s sewing room. That was a prime movie viewing room and I remember it being cold, snowing and windy. Yes, the movie isn’t great and doesn’t rank highly in the series, however, it reminds me of a time and place more than some better movies I’ve seen. #halloweenthecurseofmichaelmyers #theatricalcut #donaldpleasence #paulrudd #mitchellryan #michaelmyers #joechappelle #shoutfactory #bluray (at Oswego, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/Btr-w8jgU3b/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ya3b6zq3t988
