A long and tired sigh was all he could respond with. He knew that the other was right. Maybe it was hearing it from a removed party that actually convinced him to do it. Regardless though, he gathered up his bag which nearly had him swaying off of his feet with the head rush that was caused.
Groaning now, he steadied himself and took a deep breath as best as he could with his congestion. “That’s...you’re kind. But you’ll miss the game too.” The two of them had never exchanged words and he would feel guilty about making him go out of his way for something as tedious as walking him home. “I’ll be...wh..” And there was another dizzy spell. Maybe it would be better to accept the offer.
“Okay...I’ll give you food for your trouble.” It was the best he could do in this current state.
