i've been reading your painting red madonnas series and less than immaculate conception raises some questions. in the first fic, marcus seems like less of a person/less than he does in the second. would the marcus of painting red madonnas eventually get to the point that the marcus of the less than immaculate conception? Is it just that that marcus has to deal with the reality of bella and his fish baby that shocks him out of it? would marcus of the first fic stay in a platonic relationship with vampire!bella?

I'd actually say Marcus is near the same place in the PRM as he is in The Less Than Immaculate Conception, circumstances are just that he says less alarming things/hasn't found out about the Didyme thing yet and we see him at the very beginning where we skip that part in the other fic.
So, I don't think anything else is personally needed to get him there.
As for whether or not he'll continue to remain in a platonic relationship, probably unless another misunderstanding/catalyst occurs.
