The Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition is a special bottling renowned for its double maturation. Following an initial period of ageing in traditional oak casks, this single malt Scotch whisky undergoes a further maturation in Oloroso sherry casks.
This secondary maturation gives the Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition additional depth and complexity. Whilst the original Dalwhinnie is often appreciated for its delicate notes of honey and heather, the sherry cask finish introduces further flavours of dried fruit, nuts and subtle spices. It retains Dalwhinnie’s characteristic smoothness along with its gentle smoky character.
