opinion on thebasinrp?

I’ve actually see some differing opinions about this rp, a lot them including hate and I’m not entirely sure why. It’s done very nicely and the admins seem so sweet. I think the no faceclaims till acceptance thing is a little out there but definitely smart. It would terrify me because I’d hate to fall in love with a character then end up with a faceclaim that I feel uncomfortable playing or something. The theme and graphics are simple, which is always nice. 10 points from me for having JAckles in your sidebar. I guess I’m confused because I’ve seen a lot of hate about this being offensive to POC’s or something because they had Ariana as somebody from Africa but all of the characters are faceless for now so that makes no sense? Plus ALL the female characters have Ari’s outline so? I like it and totally think it deserves a lot of attention.

Definitely!

URL: I haven’t the faintest idea what it means from looking at it. Trackable URL, which is always good. Definitely a distinctive enough name that I’ll probably remember it.Theme: The color scheme is unusual, but I can read everything fairly well. The blue on the beige-yellow is a little odd-looking, and I wish the text was lighter or the blue darker to contrast more. The expanding plot is a neat feature, but I seriously did not expect “more” to mean that was coming. Freaked me out. And the way my computer’s screen is arranged, I miss the bottom of the full plot. The actual text part of the sidebar is way too narrow for all of the information it contains. I can tell the theme is thoughtful, but I’d really prefer to see the sidebar plot and information without having to scroll so much. The justified text has so many spaces, that widening this sliver just a little would improve readability considerably. It’s annoying to read two words per line.Graphics: Your icon and sidebar image both feature Crystal Reed. I think that’s a mistake, and having so much Teen Wolf overall favors those faces enough that someone who doesn’t like the show might click away. Why are there two Dylan O’Briens in the nav? Overall, I can see some much better than typical technical and design skill, which is wonderful to see.Plot: It’s weird to have two sidebar plots when the second sidebar plot overlaps somewhat with both it and the full plot so strongly. Very redundant. What isn’t consistent is the age range. Is it 15-25 or 14-24, graduating at 25? I’m very confused. The yellow on blue just makes it hard to focus so all the words sort of blur together after reading the second sidebar plot too. But I like the idea and the world already.Overall: The characters page is very, very cool. I like it a lot, but wish it was easier to tell which characters were open or closed. Looking at the strike makes me think too hard about it. I can’t figure out how to choose faceclaims either. I have a feeling that the Pakistani character is probably intended to be played by Zayn, but I’m so confused who even the taken characters are. That’s what keeps confusing me as I continue to poke around the page longer than I thought I would. It’s a richly built roleplay.

Hi! Can we please have a first look review?

Of course! First, the colors on the gradient are very nice. They aren’t too bright or too dark and it’s easy on the eyes to look at, not to mention the font for the posts are a good size. The concept of the roleplay is really original and I’ve always has a soft spot for roleplays that have open FCs. I love the graphics on the character page, they’re simple but also tell a lot about the character. The bios are written very well and I really like the format of them. This looks like a really quality RP and if you guys weren't in my rec tag already, I would've tagged this accordingly. Good luck with the RP!

Hi there! Can we please have a shoutout? We’re a new original bio rp with a twist. The year is 2078. The United Nations has created a new, top-secret organization known as The Basin, comprised of the world’s youngest and brightest minds, all between the ages of fifteen and twenty-five. These brilliant young people will all live on an old military base, and assist the United Nations in solving the problems of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Thank you in advance!

You know, I actually really like this colour scheme! It works well and even though the background is a wallpaper instead of a block colour or pattern, it doesn’t take away from anything on the page! I think if anything on first glance, the sidebar text is harder to read partly because of the font size and partly because of the colour. The graphics are cute and the plot is actually so interesting! Initially I wasn’t in on the basin reference, since I’m kind of a guppy sometimes, but now I understand it, it’s actually really great. I really love RP’s and you’ve got me thinking of joining, you guys have got it all under control, and I’m impressed!

Short and sweet url, which I really like, even though it gave me no clue as to what the roleplay was going to be about. The theme is gorgeous, I love those colours together, and even though I don't like Supernatural, I gotta admit that their sidebar is nice and really goes along with the idea of the roleplay. I don't really like the pop out aspect of this theme, but they're the first group that I've seen where I didn't hate it automatically.

The plot is unique for sure - I've never seen a roleplay with this idea before, so you get points from me for creativity. I really wish that you didn't accept characters as young as 15 though. It doesn't seem realistic, and it would bother me to see 15 year olds interacting with 25 year olds on the dash.

I love the way you've set up your characters, and I'm glad that you've given them the option to select their own faceclaims, but I don't really like the graphics you have for them. They're nice, but they're kind of confusing to look at. Some of them, I had to look at for a while before I could decipher what it was.

This isn't something I would join, but I can't deny that it's well thought out and will probably be pretty damn successful. If you want to join something fresh and new, where you can develop a character, you should definitely check out this one. Rec.

I'm squealing. The whole main page looks incredible and so neat, everything is so organized and the theme, color scheme and graphics are so freakin' pretty, I really love how it looks. Also, seeing Dianna's face makes me incredibly happy. The plot is well written and it's a story line that I definitely enjoy, I find it very interesting and there's a lot of things you can do with it. After checking every single page — from the guidelines to the characters, I can say that this roleplay is fantastic and definitely going to the recommended tag. The admin did an amazing job and I wish them the best of luck with this awesome roleplay.

This looks amazing. The graphics are really well done and the color scheme is flawless. The plot is so well written and even though this is not my kind of roleplay, I do love it a lot. Okay, how come they only have three apps? All of you people are crazy, since I just read about five bios and all of them are really well written and the characters were very interesting. I don't think I need to say more to be honest? Overall this truly is flawless, and to the REC TAG it goes.
