Quinn couldn’t stop the smug look that plastered their face as their own behaviour gave them up. Watched an empowered Lily rip them a new one and drag any possible pride he could have left walking out of here after being caught forcing himself on another person while going out with their best friend. The Fae was proud to call Lily such right then. Even if for one brief moment in the heartbreak of the situation they had thought Quinn was capable of such an act. Seeing them now it was clear that they had doubted the first presented story as the truth. 

If they had accepted it. Quinn would now be the one stumbling from the room in a terrified manner like a dog with its tail between its legs. They were sure the guys anger would come later but with no leg to stand on the two friends side-by-side he’d be an idiot to try pick a real fight about it.

As their arms caught the other Quinn couldn’t hold back the laughter anymore. “I can’t believe you spelled him!” They snickered through their laughter trying to stop but they couldn’t. Almost like their laughter was spurned on by the adrenaline and pain from what had just happened. When the question came up Quinn leaned back grasping their own chin and tapping their index finger rhythmically against their cheek in thought. “Hmm, let me think... I think it’s gonna take at least a hot chocolate with all the toppings and a brownie from our favourite place around the corner before I can even contemplate such.” They teased before sticking out their tongue at them.

Quinn pursed their lips and clenched their hands as they stared down their friend. The Fae wasn’t easily angered but being accused of coming onto their boyfriend was really testing their last nerve. They couldn’t believe he’d spin that tale. That Quinn has come on to him when it was the complete other way around.

“I don’t know what HE,” Quinn spat out the pronoun. “Has told you but I’d never betray your trust like that. In fact why don’t we just go down to security and ask them for the tape huh? They record all the dance halls.” It was only at the last sentence that they looked to the false accuser. Saw his eyes widen in panic. Now that had caught him off guard, Quinn thought smugly.
