Read Sarah Thornton’s coverage of “The Biennale” and “The Fair.” List differences you perceive between these two international art events. 

List of differences:

The Biennale had pavilions that represented different countries wheres The Fair has stands for the different commercial galleries. 

Is there differences in the dealers trying to acquire works??

There is a difference in the spaces where dealers, collectors and curators negotiate the prices of the artworks and who gets what???

The Biennale is about representing your country and having the best pavilions so that you get the most people through the doors to see the artworks. While The Fair is about commercial galleries selling the artists work that they are representing to the best homes and differentiating between those buying the works or genuine reasons and those who are trying to buy them just so that they can make a larger profit.
