Today I was told I'm definitely completely metastases free. The cancer hasn't spread yet.

I'm so relieved and just had to draw a celebratory Booster blob.

Because yes, the treatment will still suck, but as @sl-walker said: time limited suckage at least 💛

So.

A little sth I made for insta to tell ppl about my breast cancer diagnosis...

Really wanted to post it here too and I'm usually not doing this but if you know someone who got a mastectomy - no matter if a trans man, a non-binary pal or whatever - please share.

I'm a trans masc presenting nb too and yes, I got a mastectomy, October 2020 to be precise. I still developed breast cancer in the leftover tissue.

So.

Please please please don't skip your cancer screenings dear siblings.

Mine was caught still kinda early and I would have never guessed it could be possible but sadly it is and I just want to spread the word.

For a little extra information - because my gynecologist once asked me, if I had a higher risk for breast cancer because of testosterone -

My cancer is not the kind that responds to the anti-hormone treatment so it's highly unlikely it was caused by T or me pausing T for a year (was a busy year X,D) and getting back on it.

So this is absolutely not about telling you to be careful with T, it's about checking everything is ok, even when the boobtatas are gone 🫶

So yeah. Reblogs are highly highly appreciated in this case, thank you in advance for it 🫶

Ok.

So. I got my biopsy results and... it's cancer. The type that you can't treat with anti-hormone or antibody therapies. The one that needs to be treated with chemotherapy and the whole circus.

I'm...it still doesn't feel real...?

I still got some appointments soon where they'll determine if it has already spread...

So yeah.

I still can't with the fact that I already had a mastectomy...I mean...

This wasn't the plan at all...I...

I guess...you'll keep seeing a lot of my art stuff here as this will be one of the things that will keep me sane...and as I know myself, I'll occasionally will write about the treatment and all...gonna use a hashtag for it so you can mute it if you don't want to see it.

I guess I'll go with "thebigc" or "fckcancer"?

Gonna think about it a bit and update my pinned post accordingly.

Remember how I said my port surgery went well and I'm healing up?

Guess who had to go to the ER yesterday night to check for thrombosis?

And guess who got thrombosis in the left arm? Caused by the port surgery?

Chemotherapy hasn't even started yet and I'm already so done...

(But despite all, I'm glad I got great docs who care for me. 🥲🙏)
