Built in 1956, in Marietta, GA, the Big Chicken was erected as an advertisement for a Johnny Reb’s Chick-Chuck-N’-Shake restaurant. The location was considered prime real estate with the newly constructed highway and Big Chicken stood 56 feet tall greeting customers! The restaurant was later sold and became a KFC.
