It has been a good year on the blog.   We christened the CMAX.  We mourned with the Westerville community.  We experienced the Thousand People of Genoa Exhibit.  We welcomed in the NCAA Women’s Final Four.  We kicked back to songs from 1968.  We had a reggae party at WCRS.  We celebrated 100 years of Upper Arlington.  We learned about the story of Tigerland (and I wrote an article in the Columbus Free Press).  And we went to the Disaster known as “The Game”.

2019 will bring more adventures to DJBC Adventures, as I will celebrate 10 years of volunteering for WCRS in the Summer of 2019, and The DJBC Happy Hour will celebrate 300 Shows on the Air!

The Big Explore was today at seven local museums in Columbus - COSI and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Franklinton, the Wexner Center for the Arts in the University District, the Pizzuti Collection in Victorian Village, the Columbus Museum of Art in Downtown Columbus, the Franklin Park Conservatory in Franklin Park, and the Ohio History Connection near South Linden.  There was free admission at all seven museums, in collaboration with the 75th Anniversary of the founding of The Columbus Foundation.  COTA provided free fares all day on every line (including the Night Owl and AirConnect).  The Empower Shuttle provided service from the Linden Transit Center (at Cleveland and 11th Avenues at the Four Corners in South Linden) to the Ohio History Connection at 17th Avenue and Interstate 71.  There were 75 cent ice cream scoops at Jeni’s Ice Cream locations in Columbus as well (there was a line OUT the corner at their Short North location).  The museums were packed, with lines out the door at COSI and the Conservatory.
