“Woah, hold on, I know we’re supposed to be mates and all, but this is my tent,” Keaton objected, face quickly reddening as he came to terms with the fact that Selena had walked in on him. “I mean, you’re still supposed to warn me before you just barge in here, you know?!”

“H-How the heck was I supposed to know that you were in here?! You’re usually looking for some treasures at this time!” She blushed as well. So his top half really was like a man’s. That was... kinda nice to know. “D-Do you have a problem with me coming in here?”

“Here you go Nyx, just for you, something I think you’ll love. Don’t worry, I can part with this one, but only for you, okay? And don’t go thinking this is anything special, alright? I’m just doing this because it’s the right thing to do, so don’t get the wrong idea and think I like you or something. I mean, I guess I like you, but… just take it, okay?”

“Oh... dear Gods...” she muttered, looking at the filthy broken thing he had put before her.

      ♕ - Eirika woke realizing her eyelashes were stuck together with congealed blood.  She rubbed at her eyes until she could pull them open, only to find that the world still looked blurry.  Any wounds she had long ago stopped bleeding, but the blood still covered everything, whether it belonged to her or her great foe.

The princess let herself lie on the ground and breathed in the fresh mountain air.  Oddly, she should be nowhere near a mountain, only large calderas with dubious peaks.  She turned her head.  She was alone.

“Ephraim?  Brother?’ she called out, pushing herself into a sitting position before stumbling to her feet.  The landscape was completely unfamiliar, which was an interesting statement considering she’d led an army through most of Magval.  “Anyone?” she whispered this time.

Taking Sieglinde in hand, Eirika starting walking.
