Not necessarily that she will get a reprint per say, but I have a hunch that Olivia Voldaren will make a return.

Yeah, I can’t see Olivia Voldaren getting a reprint since she is a legendary creature. Doesn’t make sense for her to remain 100% the same after a span of time (though as a Vampire it is more likely). I definitely can see her getting a new card though.

So 0/10 on reprint (could totally see in the next MM though), and 7/10 on getting a new card.

Think we'll see a Snapcaster Mage reprint? I think it might happen. 1. People will buy boxes of boxes. 2. On the promo is now mythic? Maybe that is foretelling? 3. The price is too damn high!

I think Snapcaster Mage is one of the more likely reprints though I still don’t think it is too likely.

1. People buy boxes and boxes of sets when they first come out regardless.

2. The promo version of it is for the RPTQs, which also had another mythic for this year (Liliana of the Veil). Granted, Liliana almost made it into Magic 2015 last year, but it was too oppressive, which may be part of the reason it was put out as a promo. The GP promos are mythics too (Batterskull, Primeval Titan, and Griselbrand) were the last three. I personally think the promo version means that we are less likely to see it in Shadows over Innistrad. Whoops. Forgot Snapcaster Mage was just a rare when it first came out. The rarity symbol on the promo doesn’t really have any bearing on its rarity in a standard set. Some of the From the Vaults cards would never be mythics in an actual set, but all the FtV cards have the mythic color.

3. I definitely agree that the price is too damn high. Reprinting it in a Standard legal set will definitely chop that price down quite a bit. Probably back down to the $20-30 range. Sorta like what happened when they reprinted Thoughtseize in Theros. Unless it were to be printed at mythic instead of rare

Also, in order for Snapcaster Mage to come back then they will have to bring Flashback back (back again). Which could happen, especially since Delve will rotate out when Shadows comes in, leaving just one graveyard mechanic around. (Maybe we’ll get Threshold back instead. lol) I also feel like Snapcaster Mage (and Liliana of the Veil) will be in the next Modern Masters set. Maybe replacing Cryptic Command (and Dark Confidant for Liliana) since that has already been in two of them.

So, I’m gonna go with a 4.5/10. And this was a lot longer than I thought it’d be. lol

If I cast the new Ulamog and he is countered does his ability of exiling two permanents still occur?

Yes.

Abilities that trigger when you cast a spell exist independent of that spell and aren’t affected if the spell is countered.

If I equip typhoid rats with pathway arrows and use the ability against say siege rhino, will siege rhino die? My friend is saying that because typhoid rats has deathtouch that the damage dealt is deathtouch damage.

Your friend is correct. Typhoid Rats is dealing the damage, so deathtouch’s effect applies here. Deathtouch applies to all damage a creature with deathtouch deals, not just combat damage.

Be careful with these sorts of effects from equipment, though, since sometimes it’s the equipment dealing the damage, not the creature.
