4. Your character walking in on mine in the shower.
He was already under a stupid amount of scrutiny, by the precinct. There was no such thing as privacy. John had long since given up on it. So he'd just decided to say 'fuck it' and do what was needed to survive, regardless of who came in.
He'd just turned the tap off and had pulled the steam-damp towel up to cover him when he turned. Brows raising, he gave the detective a dry look and shouldered past her.
"Here to watch the freak show too? Or don't you have anything better to do than watch a man shower?"
"All I did was ask him for a drink." (Found this on a meme on your page XD)
“And all he did was spike it,” Sandra countered. “Which is illegal.”
“You haven’t slept for days, have you?”
How could he? He'd awoken in a hospital bed and, after finally being let out and into custody, had been investigating this entirely new world around him. Things he'd never imagined beyond sci-fi movies and books were real. Robots were conducting business amongst humans and blending in seamlessly.
John was intrigued. And he'd wanted to miss nothing. But it wore on him and he knew he was pale and haggard. He was exhausted. But fear of sleeping (fear of being taken away again) had kept him from truly relaxing.
"I'm fine." Was all he said on the matter. He didn't know anyone. Even his nephew was a stranger. Nothing made sense and everything he knew was dead.
