"Urgghh... It's 12.30," Ross mumbled as I momentarily lifted my head up from the 3 layers of blankets sandwiched on top of me. There's around 10 inches of space between my face and the roof of the van, and in order to stay warm enough at night we have to fill that entire space with duvets and blankets. "Ok" I sighed, and rolled back over to shut my eyes and try and remember where we are. I can hear running water. Ah, yes, we're somewhere in between Penrith and Patterdale in The Lake District...

Being as useless and disorganised as we generally always are, we spent the first day of the tour frantically trying to get everything in order, whilst making sure we didn't actually miss the first show. I spent all morning of Monday 1st going over the huge list of things I reckoned I'd need to spend 21 days in a van with Ross and Ben, then trying to force it all into two bags. As it happens, Ross and Ben had each packed what seemed to be enough to go on a 6 month round the world holiday, making my gear look pretty pathetic...
