Strangers are less strange to Alice than to most people. Even the most generous stranger can only become an acquaintance after you meet them. Unless they've got an invasive alien parasite, and then the moment privacy goes out the window is whenever Khaji Ren decides you're worth mentioning.
It's not fair, anyone knowing what Khaji Ren knows, but especially a stranger—and she doesn't think people want to hear it, either. Who wants to know that someone on the street can scan your organs without your consent? Sometimes Alice introduces herself to people just to—well, it doesn't make them even, but it probably counts for something.
No one's ever turned it back on her before. Alien biology Uno reverse.
Maybe the surprise shouldn't make her laugh, but it does.
"Do you always makes friends this fast?"
