“Dude,” Spencer uttered to himself as he gradually raised the volume of his new CD player he’d received from Violet, the volume already exceeding what his old player could reach; he’d spent most of his day installing the thing into his van. “Dude,” he repeated -- a tone higher as the music began to vibrate the inside of his vehicle. He stared down at the electronic device in awe, Violet suddenly coming to mind. A small smile graced the spirit’s features before his gaze shifted upward. He suddenly turned the volume down to a reasonable level, before promptly grabbing his door handle, opening it, and moving out of the vehicle. Too excited, he tripped out, landing on his face, but he quickly picked himself back up and shut the door behind him.
Rushing across the lawn and into the house, the idiot’s path was set for the library. As he hurried along, he was tempted to call out for her, but decided against it. Running into the library, Spencer skidded to a stop -- his sneakers squeaking along the flooring as he did so before he moved to Violet’s corner. “Violet!” He quietly screamed, grinning excitedly as he looked around.
