Sun Cry Procreate, 2020 🌻 This weekend, I took the plunge into the world of digital art, which is an art form I have been severely intimidated by for years. I am a traditional artist not just be choice, but because I, for the longest time, allowed my fear of digital art to shove me away from it. This included dropping out of several collegiate courses on digital medium because I was so terrible and scared by it. But within the last year, I’ve realized that if I plan to properly market my art to my target audiences, I will have to have a digital format available alongside my traditional work. Whether anyone likes it or not, traditional art is very expensive, and sometimes unreachable for potential clients and customers. (Not to mention have you SEEN shipping costs for traditional art??!) It’s been a tough pill to swallow and I’ve got a huge learning curve ahead of me. But I’m mildly proud and surprised of my first digital illustration. I’m not leaving traditional art by any means, but I’m ready to see what can happen when I broaden my scope. . .
