Keeping Up Appearances | LJ and Cap

It was the night of the gallery's latest opening.  This was another one of the student shows, which had become rather popular.  LJ was happy to help out Leiella, and it had brought in a fresh client base into the gallery.

Standing near the front of the gallery, LJ's eyes grew a little wide with surprise when she saw the man that walked in the door.  It was William.  Someone that she hadn't seen in forever.  Keeping up the appearance of her job, the blonde walked up to him, offering her hand in greeting -- as she did most people that walked into the gallery.  "Hello William.  What brings you into the gallery tonight?"

Things Change | LJ and William

Lily was in New York for a little.  She had wanted to pay Petra and Lucas a visit, as well as some other friends.  Time for trips would soon be non-existent, so she was making the most of moments like this.  She was nearly halfway through her pregnancy, and even with all the sickness earlier on, Lily wouldn’t change a thing.  It was rather odd being back in New York after all this time.  She was not the same woman that left New York for Minnesota.

She had stopped into her old gallery to visit with a friend, when she had to stop and laugh softly to herself.  It was someone that she hadn’t seen in a very long time, and yet, he didn’t seem to have changed much at all.  The blonde walked over closer to the man, leaning her shoulder against the wall.  “Well, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes, William,” she said, smiling.  Her usual attire of when he knew her before was gone.  Now she wore jeans, a pair of boots with a slight heel, and a button up maternity shirt.  Her blonde hair was down from the buns she used to wear.  “Of all the people I thought I’d run into visiting New York again, you were not on that list,” she shook her head, “how have you been?”  Lily knew his reply would be a tossup.  The two of them had not exactly been friendly, but she wasn’t the scared girl from Paris anymore.

Do or Die | Rowan and Cap

In the fallout from Woodbury, Rowan had escaped.  She was wounded – her leg hurt as well as her arm.  Adrenaline had pushed her deep into the woods, where she had found an old abandoned cabin to seek shelter in for a few days until she healed up.  Rowan dropped all of her gear on the floor and collapsed on the bed, her hand tightly gripping Tristan’s necklace.  She gave herself a few to lay there and cry, before getting up to begin to tend to her wounds.

It was a few days before she felt up to going out to hunt.  Her supplies were running low, plus she needed to do something besides stare at the walls.  Due to her injured arm, her recurve bow was out.  There is no way that she would have the strength to pull it, so she grabbed her compound bow and slung her quiver across her body.

The cabin she had found was near a clearing.  Rowan quietly made her way through the woods, which the dried leaves wouldn’t make as much noise as they were underneath her boots.  As Rowan neared the edge of the clearing, something caught her eye on the other side.  It was no walker.  It was a rifle aimed for her.  “Drop it, or we will see who the better and quicker aim is,” she warned, arrow already nocked, drawn and aimed at the person behind the rifle.

Rowan leaned against a tree to keep herself steady with her leg still being injured.  Her face was bruised up as well, but the swelling from the black eye had faded.  She really hoped the person on the other end of the rifle was not one of the Governor's men.

I will try to get things done before I leave today, but my brain is just NOT wanting to focus.  I'm sorry.  I am usually not this late on replies, but the past two weeks have about killed me.  I'm hoping this weekend to be completely caught up.  Please forgive me.
