A few days had passed since Alice, currently known as Um, had been declared the childish queen’s new favorite and court life had already resumed as usual. The pecking order had shifted somewhat, and there were a few ladies who seemed put out. How could a newcomer wreck all their work in one silly interaction? There was nothing they could do for it, though. At least not yet.

In the meantime, the newest courtier was largely free to do as she pleased. She was expected at tea, as was most of the castle, but was the mistress of her own destiny. The castle at Salazen Grum was expansive and maddeningly complicated to traverse. However, all passages lead back to the grand hall at some point, so starvation was unlikely.

He was not so foolish as to believe that people wouldn’t find their way to him. Things had ways of finding other things here in Underland, and if someone had a great enough will to do so, there would always be a way. The keeper of time could sense just that- someone of greatness wished an audience with him. He would stay firm as always in his rules. Some thought it strict, but it was necessary to uphold existence.

As he thought, Time was to entertain another guest. Still, he decided to humor the request, though surely it was to travel through time, or to borrow some- ridiculous all the same.

Unfortunately, yes. Eva would rather not get into too many details because some of the promises she has broken still hurt and weigh heavy on her.

A young girl with yellowish hair? Seemingly out of place, but in place as well? This had to be the Alice the Knight had heard so much about.

Eva planted her hands on her hips, though her posture was neutral, relaxed- almost. Although the Knight was without her full armor, she still held presence, tall and lean.
