Finally caught up with the Cast Comic. OTL My shipper feeeeeeeels. I JUST. THIS COMIC. I just want more Mons/Will friend fluff kthnx. Mons is such a badass and I really love how protective she gets over Will. Like, she seems to have some feelings for him and we all know he's never going to return those feelings, but I just want some genuine friend fluff between those two because reasons. (I ship their friendship so much, guys.) I really want Lel to get over Joe and move on because I think Joe hasn't really grown up yet. The way he talks about Elmo and Maita, it's like he doesn't trust Maita to make her own decisions and shit, yeah? It grates me that he doesn't even fucking respect her decision. And the way he talks about Will like he thinks Will is going to 'steal' Ces from Manny... He's just straight up projecting his insecurities. I mean, he doesn't even consider for a moment that Ces is, I don't know, a human being who can make her own fucking decisions. So what if she chooses Will over Manny in the end. Maybe it's because she feels safe with Will. Maybe it's because she recognizes that being in a relationship with him is a lot more stable than with a guy who insists on an open relationship. (And if Manny insists on an open relationship, it's a bit of a double standard for Joe to hate Will for 'making a move' on Ces. It's an open relationship right? That should go both ways.) I dunno. I just see trouble with Joe until he actually becomes more empathic and more cognizant of the consequences of his actions. Because telling the girl who likes you about your relationship woes is just an awful thing to do, especially when you know the girl likes you. Like, are you even aware of the kind of misery you're making this girl go through? And you think she's just going to go back to you once you've made up your mind and do decide it's her you want? That's just so fucking arrogant. Move on, Lel. He is not worth your tears. I do like the way the comic handles Ces and Will's relationship. (I snorted at the whole fake relationship plotline and the jab at the writer. So very glad that wasn't dragged out.) I think it's really cool though that Will always takes into consideration how others feel and stuff. IDK. I think Joe can learn a lot from Will. It's been seven years since I last read this series. I remember this fondly because it was the last comic I really got into before we left for Canada. (That, and I love plays and acting.) Kudos to you, Cast Comic. Here's hoping I can read the ending some day.
