With that picture of Keith getting whumped, and panther shiro and lance hissing, it looked like the marmora crest was carved into his chest at first, because I wasn't paying attention. But imagine, someone (hopefully not Blades, maybe like a hunter group that are hunting some left over Galra that both the three and the Blades are also hunting), and Keith accidentally getting hurt/ this group think he's a Galra/not caring if he is/isn't, and everyone's pissed (if friends still alive, also livid).

oooh that’s an interesting idea. I like the thought of Keith getting hurt by hunters, because he’d be understandably unwilling/reluctant to hurt any humans or Alteans, even if they were threatening him. Good insight!

so, i was going through some of my old poetry things from my bachelors, and i found this poem i think you'd like. It's by Joy Harjo,called she had some horses. Besides the whole pun with horses and stuff, it just really reminded me of your writing. She's also a native american activist, and she has the most amazing voice when she performs her poetry during live readings. I give you back is another one that I love the most from her. Adrienne Rich is also one I think you'd like too.

I love Joy Harjo!!! It’s a beautiful and poignant poem. I’ve never seen any of her live readings though, dang, I’m gonna need to check those out.

Adrienne Rich is one of my favorite poets actually :’) Her poem “Frame” is one of the most heart-wrenching poems I’ve ever read.

Hc that when the paladins got back to earth, they all took turns checking out each other's old homes. With Keith, he took them to Papago Park first since it gives a good, easy to access view of the Sun Valley. Despite warning them, someone forgets there's a sudden drop around the end of the hike, the one when you can't really go any farther without some climbing, and everyone else basically scrambles to yank them back.

I used to work at the Phoenix Zoo which is right next to Papago Park and we’d feed all the geese and weird ducks that live there; those birds are so used to getting fed that they can be really aggressive about it - please just picture Shiro screaming and running away while a flock of hungry hissing geese run after him at top speed bc they demand more bread

Keith: “....I promise Arizona isn’t the worst, guys”

Hunk, picking cactus spines out of his arm and staring down a rattlesnake coiled in some nearby rocks: “KEITH, BUDDY, HATE TO BREAK IT TO YA BUT I REALLY THINK IT IS”
