Wow, what an amazing movie, been marathoning horror movies and this one takes the cake. * Started off thinking, ok another cheesy horror movie to be excused because of the genre. * In the beginning some of the acting wasnt believeable, but it grew in quality and performance. * I like that it also merges its concept with the culture of today. * If I was to critique it I think it did a very good job representing the genre. The focus wasnt on gore, disgust but a deeper connection, an investment in the character, merged with cultural issues of influence, popularity and the world of social media. It had a powerful ending with an awesome twist. The final three characters of the movie did an absolutely amazing job. * 76% on rotten tomatoes. The Cleansing Hour, the new movie from Damien LeVeck, is out today.

A live-stream exorcism goes viral in this bold, modern take on demonic possession. Millennial entrepreneurs, Max (Ryan Guzman) and Drew (Kyle Gallner) run a popular webcast that streams “live exorcisms” that are, in fact, elaborately staged hoaxes watched by millions. However, their fortunes take a turn when during one of their webcasts, Drew’s fiancée (Alix Angelis) becomes mysteriously possessed by a real demon that takes the crew hostage. In front of a rapidly growing global audience, the demon subjects the crew to a series of violent and humiliating challenges that expose dark secrets they have been hiding from each other.
