The only sound in Clara’s flat was the sound of pages being turned until the materializing TARDIS shook her out of her bubble.
She heaved a sigh. “Doctor, you can’t just keep popping in like this! What happened to regular Wednesdays? I liked regular Wednesdays.” She stood, tossed her book onto the sofa and went through her flat to the TARDIS, smack dab in the middle of her kitchen.
She slipped inside. “Please, Doctor, I have so many papers to--Doctor? Hello?”
The console room was empty.
Slowly, Clara rounded the console, as if the Doctor was hiding right behind it, but no suck luck. She raised her eyes to the ceiling and asked, “Did you fly here yourself?”
She beeped. Clara had gotten used to guessing what she meant. So she grabbed a lever and threw it, throwing the TARDIS into the time vortex. “Well, let’s find your usual pilot, eh?”
@theclockstrikesxii entered the TARDIS
❝ WOA! NO, NO, NO. this won’t fly. MY TARDIS, mate. go find your OWN box. please get out b’fore river finishes dressing up. we’re going on a date together for the first time in ( possibly ) centuries-- ‘n i won’t let you RUIN that with those angry, angry, grey caterpillars above your eyes. ❞
