I was listening to "the con" album, the other day and was looking through the song meaning of "I was married". I had never realized it before, but I learned from Google that this song was written about homophobia/gay marriage. I took the lyrics that hit hardest and wrote them on this little pride flag card I had. I know it's just a band but genuinely tegan and Sara made me feel like it was okay to be gay (it wasn't just them but still).
Hi... for The Con X, I remade The Con cover. I hand drew Tegan and Sara. Cut out all the letters. Wrote down the lyrics to The Con. Staged it. Photographed it. Color corrected it. Then made this. It's kind of my baby. Tegan talked about the writing of "Call It Off" in an interview. How she would wait all day for the girl she was after to call her... I wanted something that seemed as ... desperate. So, I went with an anonymous, hand drawn letter theme. I hope y'all enjoy.

Hi! I got a tattoo inspired by the song The Con by Tegan and Sara off of their album The Con. The album is about fear, anxiety, love, death, etc. one of my biggest fears is drowning/deep and open water. The artist August at South Paw Tattoo in San Antonio, Texas caught this perfectly.
