Along the way I was hoping Tove could recover from addiction, but eventually she ended up OD’d. Maybe once an addict, always an addict? Is it because of the powerful chemical or the weakness of will? One paragraph is especially touching and heartbreaking for me. “A few days later I got his answer. He wrote that if I had called for him a few months prior, he would have come right away. But now he had met another woman, and everything was starting to go better for him.
