If the apocalypse had actually ended after about three months (before the motel group runs into the St. Johns), how do you think things would go for the members of the motel group? Would any of them keep in contact with each other? Would Lee be sent to prison? What would happen to Clementine?

I imagine most, if not all of the cops would’ve been killed, but there is the scenario in which they begin to collect criminals when they begin to reconstruct the government and jail systems. Lee, being a convicted murderer, most likely would end up back in jail I think, his only chance being a reunion with Officer Mitchell, who may vouch… it’s a slim chance though.

I think Larry would actually be the biggest winner here. He wouldn’t have to be around Lee and the others, less stress on his body and his prescription drugs would eventually return to a solid stocking. Lilly’s stress level would drop as well since she wouldn’t have to follow his anger everywhere.

I imagine Doug/Carley, though probably having intense regret over what happened to the other, would attempt to go back to work, but not without seeking professional help. Mark would do the same, both of his legs intact luckily.

Clementine is a tricky one. I think it would depend on how Kenny and Katjaa play it out. Their jobs seem very capable of being restored, so there’s probably a world where they attempt to take Clementine in after it’s discovered that her parents died, pairing her as Duck’s adopted sibling. On the contrary, there’s also a world where Clementine is most likely placed in a jam-packed foster care.

The only people who would keep in touch would probably be those who are concerned about Lee’s status, especially Clem if she’s able to.

Hello! If you could pick one character to find Clementine at her family's house (other than Lee), who would you pick? To make it a bit more in-depth, I'll split it intro three picks.

Who would be the objectively best person to find Clementine?

Who would be the most interesting person to find Clementine (as in it would make for a very interesting story)?

And who would be the worst possible person to find Clementine?

I'll probably keep it in a Season 1 context since that makes the most sense, and we'll also say Lee has never met Clem. I think the BEST alternative to Lee would be someone who doesn't have a big focus on other things. While Lilly and Kenny were both focused on their families (not to say they wouldn't protect Clem, but she wouldn't be priority #1), maybe someone like Carley could've been a solid protector for Clem, as well as doing what she could to keep up with her. She shows interest in Clem's wellbeing in both 101 and 102, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was emphasized had Clem been in her arms rather than Lee's.

I think Molly or Charles finding her would be kind of interesting. Molly at the time would've still had her sister and would be yet to join Crawford. While Molly does have an arm around her diabetic sister, it's clear she would've done what she could for Clem as well, especially with Crawford's strict rules around children. Or maybe she chooses an alternative and takes the girls elsewhere.

As for Chuck, while it did seem like he had pretty much no hope, I imagine having Clem around would give him some incentive to move forward and get her somewhere safe. Plus, he's actually pretty smart in survival terms and I'm sure he would've taught Clem some valuable things.

The St. Johns would easily be the worst group, but I'll say Danny in terms of a single person. He's just super weird and nasty to look at. I don't even wanna imagine how that would go.

Do you have any headcanons for twdg characters and what they did before the apocalypse?

I think this is more for the elder characters so let's try:

The St. John's were ranchers and farmers obviously, but I think Andy was probably more into heading into the city every now and then.

Luke and Nick were known to be unemployed, I think they lived pretty close to each other with their families. The families were very working class though, so they weren't in a crazy rush especially with their "business" failing.

Ben Paul was probably an alright academic, I like to think that he would try to talk with Clem and Duck about things at the Motor Inn, maybe how school was or what their favorite subjects are.

Speaking of Duck, he would like to bug his father A LOT about the times of fish or all that stuff that he'd check on, but then Duck would totally forget the next day.

We know that Aasim was "cured" right before the apocalypse, but I can assume that the rest of the Ericson's students were either in the middle or nowhere near the "cured" mantle.

Christa wasn't the biggest people person, so I'm not really set on like a job for her, but she seems like a working woman. Omid was super into the "thrill of life" nonsense, and was definitely a little more energetic than he seems in the series. Christa always joked that he'd get himself arrested one day with his reckless driving.

I think Molly was probably in university but would skip her classes often, claiming she was "in no rush to graduate". She'd go out on her own often around the state even, keeping in touch with her sister and even sneaking her out sometimes.

If Mariana had survived past episode one of ANF, how would you have integrated her into the story? What would she do, what would be her relationship with David and other characters, stuff like that.

I've said this in a previous post, ik she's very full of love and I'd definitely have her most likely playing mediator or being the honesty of the situation, and she'd probably be a good buddy for Clem. Eventually, I'd hope that she'd see Clem and want to be kinda like her, maybe itching at Javi to let her learn. Where Gabe is dorky and kinda awkward, Mari would be a little enthusiastic and kinda swell.

In the story, the most important moments for her would be her reaction to Javi and David squaring off in From The Gallows, and how she'd see Javi after his decision in the Conrad situation. For the Javi-David fight, Gabe kinda... sits back until the actual fist fight begins. In my eyes, I think she would at least try and talk to her father about it, especially if you don't romance Kate, but ultimately the determinate choice will see out the situation AKA, do you want to fight David?

David would definitely get along with her considering she's not much of an irritant, BUT I wouldn't be surprised to see the New Frontier using her as a bargaining chip against Javi, Kate and David in any sort of situation. Clem would definitely like her, and I think a sitdown and chat with her would be nice considering how erratic the season is. Generally, I think she would've had a positive impact on the season.

For ideas for your What-If series, how about:

What If the Motor Inn Never Fell? Basically, the bandit attack doesn't happen, so how would things go without them being forced out? Do Kenny and his family leave on their own? Do Lee and Clementine go with them, or do they side with Lilly? A lot would depend on what choices you decide to use, if you end up writing this one.

What If Lilly Didn't Kill Carley/Doug? This one could be pretty open-ended, so you could just do whatever scenes you think would be interesting to write. Maybe how she would affect the rest of episode three, or what she'd do later on in the story.

What If the Cabin Group Was Replaced With the 400 Days Crew? How would they react to Clementine and her dog bite, who would she get along with, that sort of thing.

What If Rebecca Didn't Die? Maybe Bonnie was able to steal some food and supplies from Howe's before they escaped, so Rebecca is in better condition. How would she affect episode five? I'd really like to see her looking out for Clem, but you can take the idea in whatever direction you want if you decide to write it.
