I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the main characters and the ending left me with just enough questions that I’ve added the second book, #TheDarkDaysPact to my tbr, and can’t wait to get my hands on it! . Lady Helen and Lord Charlston actually remind me of Tessa and Will. Especially at the end of The Dark Days Pact. It reminds me of Clockwork Prince.

11 Dec 2017. Favourite fantasy reads of 2017? I feel like I didn’t read as much fantasy this year as I usually would, but these are a couple of the standouts. Lady Helen and the Dark Days Pact was a delicious historical fiction/fantasy combo that I love to death, and Draekora took The Medoran Chronicles to a whole new level.
