I think Lailah means that rose has a darker morale than Sorey. Rose often relays her ideas quite cheerfully and carefree, but they are none the less often heartless. Like how she easily suggests killing as a solution or blackmailing. And also, she does not suffer the "am i doing the right thing" syndrome which Sorey does, which is a plus bc she can help ease his burden. She has a very firm belief in her own rules.
Yeah, that works for me. I think the anime does a better version of balancing out her happy nature along with her darker side, whereas there are times in the game that I have to remember 'oh yeah, Rose is a trained assassin, that's important'.
I like your phrasing of 'darker morale' than 'callous', because Rose isn't particularly callous - she does what she needs to do, but she isn't cruel about it. I think it's just a bad phrasing/translation, and 'darker morale' fixes that for me. So, thanks!
