hiya!! so excited for sllc and i know you made a playlist ( banging btw ) and it really got me thinking about my music taste and the vibes im getting based on the first chapter so far..
bruce and reader are giving me very much emergency contact by pierce the veil. reader is still trying to overcome her trauma from stbotdi but also suffering from the absence of bruce in their relationship.
edward and reader remind me of cirice by ghost. edward seeing himself as the best option and maybe how life could’ve been better for reader if she decided to run away with him like he proposed, also the reuse throughout the song of ‘i can see through the scars inside you, i can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart’ just feels like a constant reminder that he always has tabs on reader?? idk maybe im reaching here…
since we haven’t seen any of reader and jonathan yet..i’ve chosen falling down by muse. i could sort of see him having this vibe towards reader where he’s annoyed that his plan didn’t work because of her going against him but she still is significant to him, which this song kinda matches their vibes that i’m imagining, but i could be far off lol
anyways sorry for the absolute WAFFLE but i just thought it would be fun to send my thoughts over because this fic lives rent free in my head ;p

Emergency Contact: I haven't heard this song before and I do think that it really captures the vibe of their relationship, at least at the beginning of the fic. They're still figuring out how to go from being traumatized loners to loners-in-a-relationship, which I think is a more difficult transition for Bruce. So there is a lot of tension there, but the reader doesn't want to acknowledge it because she doesn't want to ruin (what she perceives as) a healthy relationship (it is not healthy).
Cirice: I will always accept Ghost (I mean, STBOTDI's title was inspired by a line from Deus in Absentia). Edward (as we will see soon) definitely has a lot of resentment towards the reader and Bruce's relationship, which does manifest in him being patronizing and possessive towards her. But he also has his own ulterior motives which we will see glimpses of soon.
Falling Down: I will not spoil what their vibe will be for this fic, but I do like this song for them :3 That's all I'll say, because we have a few chapters before Jonathan comes back into the fic (as a character and not just a haunting presence in the reader's mind).
