“The library? That sounds lovely, lead the way then.” Donna did what she could to give the man a smile even if it did feel rather forced, trying not to show him that anything was amiss. The two of them had been lucky thus far, after regaining her memories and by some miracle not dying from it she fell back into routine with travelling with the Doctor. Despite the fact that her spaceman had regenerated (into another lanky stringbean of a man, she would remind him) it felt natural running around the universe with him. The Doctor was still worried about the after effects of the metacrisis of course as he still had no idea how she was alright and it was why she had to sit down and have a rather serious conversation with him concerning her health. She had found out that she was late that month and feared what that could mean for them. “You have some kind of green tea right? I’m hoping to avoid caffine for a while.”
He quirked a brow at her before turning on his heel and began striding down the corridors. “Green tea still contains caffeine, Donna. Perhaps not as much as coffee or other teas, but it’s not wholly caffeine-free.” The Doctor ran a hand through his unruly curls as he thought aloud, “But I do have some peppermint tea you might enjoy.” He led her on a detour to a small kitchen so that he could rummage through some cabinets, pulling out various blends that he had procured on his travels. The Tardis automatically culled through those it deemed “expired” - the ship could travel through time any which direction, but it could not save items stored within it from the ravages of time itself. Still, varying brands and blends from Earth’s myriad cultures and beyond were laid out on the counter for his companion to choose from as he put the kettle on.
