be kind. be ridiculously, radically, endlessly kind. be a part of someone’s good day. send nice thoughts, send positive vibes, send support and love and well wishes. be kind. so often we wish for tomorrow to be a good day when we are at our lowest. some sort of sign that it gets better. be a part of that better day for someone. the world does not magically decide that it will be softer on you today, tomorrow, the next day. and sometimes it starts with a message from someone else, maybe a little bit of inner strength to pull yourself up and take a shower, maybe a bit of sunlight makes the day better. but it’s these small things, these soft things that make a day better. so be kind. don’t ever think about being anything other than kind. be a part of someone’s good day because you don’t know how desperate they might be for it.

“You need to start thinking more highly of your appearance, Doctor, you’re due more credit than you allow yourself to have.” Donna couldn’t understand why he treated himself that way when certainly the Doctor must have noticed the looks he received from other women, the ginger wasn’t the only person to take an interest in the Time Lord that was for sure.
“If you want to be ginger so badly why haven’t you just dyed your hair? Then you can test it out for yourself and see what you think of the colour.”
"Y’know, you bring up a good point. I’d never have thought of that.” The Doctor paused a moment, running one hand through his unruly curls as he contemplated how it would look. “You don’t think it’d look... I dunno, off, do you? Like I’m some old grandpa trying to look like I’m ‘hip with the young kids’, or that I’m just dying my hair because I’ve got two young bairns and I don’t want them to know just how old dear old Da really is.”
“...Are you quite finished?”
i’d like to share this photo of me and my friends at Tokyo in Tulsa last year where of course the photographer came by while we were eating. it’s in character bruh

“I hope they don’t have my hair, honestly I was teased about it in school so much that I grew to resent it for a little while in my teenaged years. Being called Carrot top every day for four years gets old quite quickly.” Donna never understood his fascination with being ginger, maybe it was because it was just something he had never had before or after having a few lovely redheaded companions that he began to enjoy the look more? Whatever it was it had become something he mentioned rather often and it did leave Donna rather curious as to what he found was so great about the colour.
“And plus, what’s wrong with them getting your good looks? I think you end up looking handsome in every regeneration, though I will admit that this one you have now has become a favourite of mine.” There was something about this regeneration that the woman felt held more of an appeal, he certainly was an attractive bloke with his silver curls and that damned smile that Donna adored that could light up a room.
But there was more than that, despite this one’s seemingly cooler exterior and the gruff persona the ginger had been faced with at first she did notice that truly this one was softer and wiser than the pinstripe suit wearing younger lad. Something about this one made Donna feel protected, safe, at home. His younger self had been a bit of a loose cannon, though that Doctor as well was a kind man there had been unpredictability in the form of his rage and seeing firsthand what he had done to the Racnoss frightened her more than she feared to say. This man, though capable of the same fury and anger, was far more merciful and forgiving and without the loss of Gallifrey holding him down Donna believed he was finally living life rather than surviving it.
“Oh, don’t curse them, love,” he replied with a slight smile. “I don’t want them looking like this old bag of bones.” This regeneration didn’t seem to have the best grasp with faces - especially his own - but he had endured a lot of remarks about his own appearance, enough to surmise that he probably wasn’t the greatest looking bloke in the universe.
“I’ll have to take your word for it,” The Doctor said.
rewatching the first season of nuwho and i just really miss the multiple aliens species that the rtd era had that moffat’s was just plain missing so please chibs bring back the aliens
But, sir, you said you’d be coming back to your office!
sorry for being absent. turns out the flu that i got was possibly the worst i’ve ever had - including violent chills and a fever that got up to 103°F but without any sweating to help rid the fever. SO if you’re in north america PLEASE be careful because my mom and i both got this shit at the same time, and my brother and his husband had it a couple weeks ago. the vaccine they’ve got out right now doesn’t actually cover this strain. but i’ve been taking sambucol and oscillococcinum and that seems to be helping with my symptoms clearing up.
Couldn’t put it better myself
Donna Noble was a female character who:
-was in her early forties but didn’t have her life all together yet
-didn’t have a perfect Hollywood figure but nobody made a joke about her weight (to my knowledge)
-super funny and empathetic
-doubted her capabilities at first but learned to trust herself
-wanted to go on crazy space adventures but simultaneously wanted to get married and have a family and she was never derided for wanting both
-had a rich platonic relationship with the Doctor
-Appreciate Donna Noble
