The prototype designs for The Eggs. Originally, there would of been 6 main characters instead of the final 4 we have now. It also would’ve been live action costumes instead of a cartoon. According to this article, (https://www.theage.com.au/entertainment/these-eggs-get-cracking-20041014-gdysqr.html) the costumed eggs were scrapped in favor of cartoons because cartoons are easier to sell in the international children’s market.
A neat little fun fact from this article is that there is a pilot episode with these magnificent egg costumes. Maybe one day we’ll get to see it.
A more in depth look at the series 4 DVD (Pictures were not taken by me, this DVD belongs to someone on discord). The DVDs come with little booklets inside that give a quick rundown of the series and also contains song lyrics for the songs in that series. Also added is the DVD episode select for series 4.
DVD covers 1-3 for The Eggs. I’m sure at one point there was a fully scanned DVD cover for series 4, but not anymore sooo
Recently discovered this lil thing from a dead website from the 2000′s that hosted the eggs at one point or at least attempted to. The company that owned Kidmango, PorchLight Entertainment, had the rights to the eggs and had plans to distribute it overseas to Latin America, Eastern Europe, Korea, Japan, Spain National Channels, Benelux, Portugal, South East Asia, Africa, Israel, Mexico and Turkey. Whether or not it actually got distributed overseas is completely unknown.
