Favourite television character and why?
Oh, God. You had to ask this one, didn't you?
Erm, I have so many, so I'll list them, in no particular order.
Dr Gregory House from House, M.D. Possibly because he's so cunning and so witty, but in some circumstances, still has a heart, plus he's as moody and cynical as I sometimes feel. Despite being an arse, he has actually inspired me with his spontaneity. Plus, the bet with the chickens were hilarious.
Don Draper from Mad Men. Despite being quite arrogant and cynical as well, he recognises the fact that society is changing around him. Even though he dislikes his father -in-law, he allows him to stay with them when Eugene is unwell. Despite how often he cheats on Betty, but he does break off that relationship with Suzanne, to try save his marriage.
Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. Neil Patrick Harris is a good enough reason in itself, looks wonderful in a suit, huge womanizer, and just downright hilarious. That is all.
Sue Sylvester from Glee. I feel that she's like me. An atheist who doesn't want to be one, and though she's a downright bitch sometimes, when we were introduced to Jean, she was simply wonderful in how she became human but not weak. Plus she hates to love Glee club as much as I do when she becomes pregnant, helping them despite everything before.
Martha Jones from Doctor Who. I despise how everyone seems to say she was a shite character, because in Family of Blood and Human Nature, she is such a strong person. Being in an environment where people don't accept her simply because of her skin tone, yet managing to hold her head up, defend herself, and be completely responsible for the Doctor, I find her strength amazing.
And the 9th Doctor. I don't ship 10/Rose like I do 9/Rose. Nine was my first actual Doctor, and I hate how people seem to skip him, because Christopher Eccleston was so brave in accepting the job, and bringing Doctor Who back, when it could have been a flook and crumbled. He could have been ruined. He'll always be my favourite, not just because he was so sassy, but because after everything he grew as a character. Became compassionate because of Rose.
Sam Tyler from Life On Mars. I can't even be arsed to explain that one, because now, I wonder if I should delete everything up there, and simply leave him. Because, now I think about it, he is my absolute favourite. Stands up for what he believes in, despite how much he may get mocked for it. Tries his best with what he has, and doesn't seem to go completely crazy, which I would do were I in his situation. John Simm plays him perfectly, and I miss him more than anything.
My favourite film is most likely The Green Mile. I find it both beautiful, heartbreaking, and I never though I'd get so emotional over the death of a mouse.
Either that, or Babe The Pig. Simply that line 'That'll do, pig. That'll do' gives me goosebumps and makes me all nostalgic, and If I Had Words is the song I sing in the shower every morning.
How long have you been on tumblr?
I've been on and off Tumblr for about a year and a half now, but lately, I've become addicted to it, like I was when I first got it. It's possibly because I've started Role Playing, as a bid to try and improve my writing.
Where in the world are you?
I am living, like I have the majority of my life, in Leeds. However, before I lived there, I lived in Manchester. Hopefully you'll know that's England.
Which is your favourite foreign accent? Why?
Favourite foreign accent is Jamaican. As a big fan of Bob Marley, as well as any other Reggae music, it's something I love the sound of. I'm not entirely sure why.
What do you want to be/what did you want to be when you were younger?
When I was younger, I wanted to be a mermaid, then I wanted to be an American Indian. Realising those things weren't possible, I then wanted to be a puppeteer. I watched the Muppets and Sesame Street a lot as a kid, so that'll explain it.
How many songs do you have on your iPod?
I currently have 1958, but I'm thinking on going on another download spree, so I'll have another 20 by the end of it.
Where would you like to live if you had the choice?
Derry in Ireland. My grandfather grew up there, and I've been a few times, always loving it. Despite being English, they've always been so welcoming, which I found surprising initially after all of the history between us.
Obvious question. Christian Bale.
I'm sorry, but he's wonderful. The story of him flying the cancer patient to Disneyland, how he's supporting Chen Guangcheng, visiting those in hospital after James Holmes shot all those people in the Dark Knight Rises screening... I just think he's flawless. Also, his dedication to his job. How he lost all that weight for The Machinist, and how he is always so intensely focussed... He really is an inspiration.
Maybe he has a funny nose, lacks an upper lip when he smiles, and apparently resembles Kermit the Frog, but to me, he's perfect.
...And then there's Robert Downey Jr.
An extremely difficult question for me, because I read a lot.
The Green Mile, again. And every other Stephen King novel.
Then there's Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
I think I'd have to go with The Picture Of Dorian Gray, because I not only love the book, but I love Oscar Wilde in general.
You know how on chalk boards, after you wipe the chalk off it and it goes that dusty grey colour? I love that. Don't know if it's the colour, or the texture, or simply how it looks, but I do.
Then there's the colour you see when you close your eyes when you're facing the sun.
And dark viridian green...
How many people whom you personally know have seen your blog?
Do you tend to think that the book is always better than the film?
Can you tell me, when I don't like it, what all the fuss with The Hunger Games is?
Saddest, most gut wrenching film you've sat down and watched?
Ever been in one of those situations when you're watching a film with your parents, and an extremely explicit bit comes on, and you slowly sink down in your chair because you recommended this film to them, and you forgot this happened, and oh the horror? If so, which film?
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind?
Favourite television show as a channel?
DID YOU SKIP THE 9TH DOCTOR? IF SO, ARE YOU FRIGHTENED THAT I'M GOING TO COME INSIDE YOUR HOUSE AND PUT A SEVERED HORSE HEAD NEXT TO YOU WHILST YOU SLEEP?
The oddest tag you've ever put on a post?
Benedict Cumberbatch or Tom Hiddleston?
