We are so very happy to let everyone know that your favorite watering-hole is NOW OPEN! Please stop by for an absinthe drink- prepared in the traditional manner- or for the crowd-favorite $5 beer+shot special. While we are eager to crank everything up again, please be aware that a mask is required, as is maintaining 6 feet of distance between parties. We will be open every day from 7am-10pm for the time being. Come say hello and grab a drink; it’s been a while!!!
Absinthe Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
Hostel Fish is a unique and eclectic atmosphere. We host people from all around the world, of course, but we’re also a favorite watering hole for many locals. We have a large following of local service-industry folks from nearby establishments, such as Ophelia’s, Jagged Mountain Brewery, and Dagar Axe Throwing Bar and Art Collective. It becomes a cool spot for world travelers and Denverites, alike, to mingle. Good things arise from the interactions at Hostel Fish. It’s not just a place to sleep before continuing on; it’s more of a culture, a way of life.
A Chance Meeting of the Map
It’s late one night at the Exchange Rate (Hostel Fish bar), and four men have just ordered their last round of drinks. They’d practiced with previous pints, but now knew the routine: “Salud!”-“Cheers!”-“Prosit!”-“Compei!” Each raised a beer as he uttered his respective salutation, then met the glass in the middle for a crash. There’s a special bond that arises among men who drink together long enough, and a special mirth that becomes with the realization that they have more in common, than not.
