(p.s tony put the candles on the cake, other than that he wasn’t allowed to touch the cake because he would’ve burned it)
{ @thefcmilymcn and I have a sort of Role-swap AU where Maes is turned into a chimera instead of Edon. So we now have a big fluffy protective chimera dad and his Ishvalan son.}
“Everyone is there. Waiting for me. Every face I saw through the scope of my gun. I remember each one of them. They’re all waiting for me when I fall asleep...”
❝ IF you’re here to show me even more photos — ❞ the younger alchemist begins to scowl before pausing , a look of amusement flickering across usually defiant features . Today was a good day , so maybe he’d let it slide ... not like he usually didn’t , anyway . ❝ Y’know what, nevermind . I had noodles with meat sauce for lunch today , so I’m in a fantastic mood . All ‘cause of the noodles, really. So bring it on , bring it all on ! ❞
A hard hit to the left side of his head caused stumbling. The stinging pain turned to full blown agony within seconds.
Something was wrong.
Stomach churned at the pain, leveling to that of past mind wipes. Hands gripped tightly to the closest thing that could support his weight.
What had happened again?
And his legs were buckling underneath him, that sickness and pain rising even further. The damage tissue, the results from repeated brainwashing, all it took was the one perfect his to trigger heavy damage- yet the man hadn’t a clue the reason behind such a feeling.
Where was he again?
Once one of his hands slipped, the other couldn’t hold his pulling weight, crumpling to the ground.
Arms lifted to cover his face, cheek pressing into his own shoulder. Eyes were closed tight, tears pushing out from the torture his own body was bringing him. The chill of the metal offered only a sliver of relief.
What had happened again?
The pain was still growing. Blood was finding its ways to trickle from his nose and ear. Not that he realized it. Breaths came out in shaky gasps, matching the shaking that coursed through his body. That wasn’t realized either.
Where was he again?
Nausea was replaced by a lull of thought. Spots of color showing in that blackness of his closed eyes. Consciousness was loose, barely hanging by a thread, barely hanging by a fiber.
Who was he again?
And there was a snap. Maybe only audible to him. Maybe not even a real noise at all. A gasped breath was taken at that sound. At that feeling of pure pain, pure agony, pure torture.
