[ EFFECT.HUNGER LOADED ]
The ‘Wendigo’ Disease causes the infected host to gain a hunger for flesh. After being infected with the disease, the host will be unable to consume any other foods other than meat, as the disease will force the body to reject it. While the flesh can be from any creature, both animal and human, the meat must be completely raw. If the meat is cooked in any way, the infected’s body will reject it entirely and they will vomit everything up, causing them intense pain and hunger stronger than before.
If the meat is caught freshly by the infected, the hunger seems to subside quicker and satiates the infection for a longer period of time. It seems to satisfy the need to hunt that the infection causes. Along with that, flesh of the same species of the infected seems to satisfy the infection for much longer as well. For example, a deer eating a deer, or a human eating a human.
While the regular animal would be able to consume flesh without sickness, the average human cannot. Though, after thorough testing and observation, the conclusion was made that the disease has adapted to somehow prevent illness in the infected individual. Though the infection can prevent illness, it does not prevent malnutrition. All subjects who have died during containment have most commonly passed due to malnutrition, despite Doctor ▇▇▇▇’s efforts to find an alternative meal option.
The only successful alternative that was created was specifically effective to Subject Wendigo. This formula has not been effective for any other subject. Efforts to find an alternative are still ongoing.
