Wait, I don’t understand the dragon witch idea? Who’s doing the terrorizing? What’s really happening?

Wellll, I left it open-ended for interpretation-

BUT my idea was:

The kingdom only has their side of the story. They’re interpreting things wrong.

Maybe, at first, some of the more petty things like ruined cabbages is an accident (or Roman kinda just didn’t like that merchant and was being a lil’ rude).

and maybe the kingdom isn’t as perfect as they want us to believe. Maybe the travelers are the mentioned thieves from the nearby kingdom. Possibly, the stolen livestock was stolen from poorer lands in the first place- perhaps the ‘kidnapped’ children had bad home lives or something, and were simply aided in a runaway attempt, given somewhere better to stay.

And some of the things might simply be just the public wanting something to blame for anything that goes wrong. And now that they have someone to blame, that they don’t know and they see doing these perceived wrongs- it’s easy so say “it must’ve been that Dragon Witch.”

(tho- one could also say it’s like a Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde thing- so Roman doesn’t know what’s happening exactly either for bonus Angst points)

Ok allow me to explain (it's gonna take more than 2 asks probably).

My boss which I'mma call Lestrade (he still looks like a shorter, fatter RDJ) runs a 60s/70s/80s/90s toy, comic book, hobby and slight videogame store at a flea market. He goes to places like Walmart, Target, malls and such to get HIS stock. He sales what he buys a bit cheaper than what you get in store and if you want you can negotiate a lower price if you want (like a pop for $8.99 would usually go for $8 but he can let it go for $6 if it's a common). Now, if you see the 2 pictures above, he finds those prices highway robbery. If he bought them at full price he would make no profit (he sells them at the store price) so he hides toys in other things so he can buy the thing that has the toys in it, unload the toys and return the 'case' item days later to a different but same store. Usually he doesn't involve me but this time he did. My mom was too busy to pick me up so he had to take me home.....and I almost could have not went home...I mean I understand where he is coming from with the no profit but dude.... just hide it for a while and eventually others will go on clearence. Swap with those then save money (unless they are popular then idk bro), but keep me out of it. I don't need no bad things on my record. It's been clean for 25 years I don't need no bitch ass hoe idiotic man to screw that up for me ~TKL🐉

My mom drove me and my sister to the doors of Hell in her minivan. My sister and I would have to stay there for all eternity (I don’t know why.) I was crying hysterically and all my mom could say is that I had to go. She didn’t want me to go (but I guess the government did??). Hell was kind of like an underground hotel made of dirt. Me and my sister shared a big room. We had to steal from other people in Hell to prevent us from being killed. It gave me RPG video game vibes.

Steve Harrington and prince Zuko were brothers and their entire family hated me (except Zuko who was just indifferent) but I really wanted their mom to give me a haircut. Steve wouldn’t let me get it unless I passed a whole bunch of meaningless tests, which included running at super speed (I did so, and found out I was an evil speedster named Zoom in the process) and stealing Zuko’s fidget spinner made out of potato chips.

I woke up in a coffin at my own funeral and my entire family was like “Wait? You’re not dead!? We sold all your organs!” So I had to go all across the state of Texas on a 4 wheeler to find my organs. There was an old lady who ended up with my liver and I told her, “Ma'am I really need my liver. I’ve got about 50 years of life left and you’ve got roughly 6” and she stole my 4 wheeler and I never got my organs back.

I was in a super mega Target and this dude with a distorted face tried to steal an Iron Man birthday toy when Superman obliterated the front of the Target and said, “You don’t look like a birthday boy!”

I was in a pet store, and the hamsters kept biting my hands. Then I went to an arcade, but everything was in Russian. My little sister stole one of the claw machines.

I was hired by a pretty vampire to steal fashionable designer clothing for her. She had an obsession with clothes & never wore the same thing twice. Eventually I asked why she didn’t just hire a designer to live in-house and make her clothes, rather than paying me and 2 other girls to steal for her. I said it would probably be cheaper in the long run, and then she fired me.
